The Gilbane Conferences on Content Management in LA

I will be presenting in the technology track on Using Web Services to Improve Content Management.

Here is the abstract I sent in:
Over the last year, WebService's implementations have displayed efficiencies as well as revealed immaturities. The WebService's solution stack encompasses several core, solid specifications, but these core specs are awaiting the next wave of specifications that will extend its reach into enterprise computing. However, currently, WebServices are exposing valuable functions of content management systems to the enterprise. As more CMS products expose more functionality through WebServices, the CMS's may certainly become the nucleus of many more enterprise content networks. In order to become the core of an enterprise content network, the CMS's will need to provide services that are more practical to the enterprise with functionality that interacts with other enterprise WebServices. Through some creative techniques of application integration, technology leaders can construct a loosely coupled and distributed enterprise content network with a nucleus of a robust content management system.

This conference seems large with many large vendors in attendance. I hope to see you their.
